HoofSearch is a streamlined updating service that acts like a scouting report. Monthly reports guide subscribers directly to new research, review papers and conference proceedings on foot research, distal limb lameness, anatomy, imaging and related topics by listing--and linking--citations published in the previous month.
Each entry’s link takes the user directly to the paper’s corresponding journal page, where users can read complete abstracts or download articles, check references and see illustrations.
HoofSearch acts as an incubator for research from all over the world for professionals and students to keep at their fingertips. Users can browse the list of citations for awareness, or drill more deeply to download full papers and access supplemental research data and references posted online.
HoofSearch is an online web-based document requiring private access, and can be viewed on desktop, laptop and mobile devices equipped with a web browser or Google Docs app. Internet access is required for HoofSearch to work.
You must be online to view the reports. Access is synced across the user's devices for easy storage and retrieval of the reports. It is possible to search across multiple reports to find articles on specific subjects or by authors.
